Qualifications

• Ability to enter outpatient prescriptions into the current computer system.
• Ability to mix chemotherapy medications and IV products.
• Ability to correctly bill for medications.
• Typing and computer skills required.
• Ability to perform short, repetitive tasks with accuracy.
• Lift up to 35 pounds and work around potentially toxic substances.

Responsibilities

• Enters and fills prescriptions timely and accurately; handles billing statements.
• Manages floor stock, narcotics delivery, and crash cart items; ensures inventory accuracy.
• Delivers medications to nursing units; processes orders via robot or manual entry.
• Performs IV preparation and ensures sterility and safety in cytotoxic handling.
• Maintains inventory control and uses ordering software; reports discrepancies.
• Ensures medication security and conducts periodic unit inspections.
• Maintains pharmacy certification through CEUs and participates in hospital committees.
• Supports coworkers and upholds professionalism and leadership across the team.
