Job summary

MetroHealth Medical Center in Ohio seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support pediatric, critical care, oncology, and inpatient pharmacy services. Under supervision of a Pharmacist, you will assist with medication distribution and take-home services, and help with quality control to ensure safe dispensing.

Ideal candidates have a HS diploma and either active PTCB/ExCPT certification or Ohio Board registration with plans to become certified within 90 days, and may travel to external satellite

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or passage of a high school equivalency exam.
• 18 years of age or older with no felony convictions, per Ohio Revised Code 4729.42.
• Active certification as Pharmacy Technician (PTCB) or ExCPT within 90 days, or Ohio Board registration with plan to become certified within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of a Pharmacist, perform duties in the delivery of pharmaceutical care in specialty and inpatient pharmacies.
• Deliver medication related services to in-house patients and manage related take-home medications.
• Assist Pharmacists with quality control procedures for drug distribution technologies and maintain service standards.
