Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky, OH is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support dispensing and preparation of medications under supervision. You will prepare sterile products, fill orders, maintain stock, and ensure accuracy and safety in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The role requires an active Pharmacy Intern license and Ohio Board of Pharmacy standing, high school diploma, good organizational skills, and ability to work with pharmacists.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must have and maintain an active Pharmacy Intern’s license and remain in good standing with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy.
• Ability to organize workload and work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to read/write and perform basic arithmetic; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Procures and distributes drug orders per physician or pharmacist requests per policy and within timeframes.
• Fills physician orders, medication carts, and specialty items accurately.
• Prepares sterile products, including chemotherapy, per USP 797/800 standards.
• Maintains stock and organizes medications and supplies.
• Utilizes Pyxis and other automated systems; conducts periodic unit inspections.
