Qualifications

• High school graduate with strong Math/Science skills.
• Pharmacy technician training program and OH registration (RPhT or CPhT) within 6/18 months.
• Ability to enter outpatient prescriptions into the computer system.
• Ability to mix chemotherapy medications and IV products.
• Ability to correctly bill for medications.
• Typing and computer skills required.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and perform repetitive tasks with accuracy.
• Positive service-oriented interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Enter and fill prescriptions timely and accurately; file according to legal requirements.
• Perform pharmacy billing; manage floor stock and narcotics; deliver items.
• Fill physician orders manually and with the robot; deliver medications to units.
• Perform IV preparation and maintain sterility; handle cytotoxic ad-mixing safety.
• Maintain inventory; use ordering software; notify discrepancies.
• Ensure medication security; conduct periodic unit inspections.
• Maintain certification via CEUs and participate in hospital committees.
• Support staff; maintain professionalism and resolve issues.
