Walgreens Co. is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to support the Pharmacy Department under pharmacist supervision at our Idaho store. You will assist with dispensing, data entry, and patient interactions, ensuring accuracy and quality in every step.

Responsibilities include handling prescriptions, verifying medicine interactions, and supporting inventory management and customer service. Flexibility for evenings and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. (Except in Puerto Rico).
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (where not restricted).

Responsabilités

• Assist under pharmacist supervision in dispensing and patient care activities.
• Enter patient and drug information into pharmacy systems accurately.
• Fill prescriptions by counting and pouring medications and verify accuracy.
• Check for possible drug interactions and ensure correct medication dispensing.
• Assist with scheduling and workflow in the Pharmacy Department.
• Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and adhere to policies.
• Handle cash transactions and assist customers at the OTC aisle.
• Process manual claims for third-party prescription services.
• Lead and participate in inventory management of pharmaceuticals.
• Support clinical services and coordinate with Walgreens healthcare clinics.

Formation

PTCB or ExCPT certification

One year of pharmacy technician experience

English fluency

Willingness to obtain immunization certification within 90 days
