Job summary

You should have a PTCB or ExCPT certification, at least one year of experience, and a flexible schedule. English fluency is required and immunization certification may be pursued within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. (Except in Puerto Rico).
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (except in Community Specialty Pharmacy, Health System Pharmacy locations, or in locations covered by a collective bargaining agreement).

Responsibilities

• Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
• Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Assists pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining workflow, and uses pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information.
• Fills prescriptions by retrieving, counting and pouring drugs, verifies accuracy and checks interactions.
• Processes manual claims for third party programs in a timely and efficient manner.
• Leads pharmacy department inventory management activities and maintains asset protection records.
• Supports clinical services coordination and relationships with local medical providers.
