Job summary

Walgreens seeks a pharmacy technician to support daily operations under pharmacist supervision. You will enter patient data, fill prescriptions, verify accuracy, and assist in workflow management. The role includes customer assistance at the OTC aisle and handling basic clerical duties.

Ideal candidates will have a PTCB/ExCPT certification, 1 year of retail/hospital pharmacy experience, and flexibility for varied shifts. English fluency and immunization cert readiness are required.

Qualifications

• PTCB or ExCPT certification required (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, assist in pharmacy practice and adhere to policy.
• Enter patient and drug information into pharmacy systems accurately.
• Fill prescriptions by counting and pouring medications and check for interactions.
• Assist with scheduling and maintaining workflow; report prescription errors promptly.
• Handle cash register, assist customers to locate OTC products, and process calls.
• Lead inventory management activities and support KPI reviews with leadership.
