Job summary

Covenant Health seeks an Acute Care Pharmacy Tech III to dispense unit dose and stock medications to nursing units and departments in a prompt, accurate manner. You will fill oral and IV meds and triage orders while maintaining the ADS.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED.
• Texas Pharmacy Technician Trainee or Texas Registered Pharmacy Technician License at hire.
• Minimum 2 years (>4160 clock hours) of pharmacy practice in an integrated health system with PTCB certification OR 3 years (>6240 hours) hospital pharmacy if no PTCB.
• Experience with Automated Dispensing Machines (ADMs) and electronic health records (EHR).

Responsibilities

• Fill and dispense unit dose and stock medications to nursing units and other departments.
• Fill/dispense oral and IV medications; triage patient orders; maintain the automated dispensing system (ADS).
• Apply advanced knowledge in two or more specialty areas in the pharmacy.
