Job summary

Ahold Delhaize USA is seeking a Mgr. of Pharmacy Procurement to lead the pharmacy procurement strategy at our Quincy, MA location and core offices. You will manage $3B in annual drug purchases and oversee relationships with wholesalers, recalls, and 340B program operations.

This hybrid role combines strategic sourcing with hands-on management of supplier relationships, data analysis, and regulatory compliance to optimize cost and ensure supply for Brand customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 5–7 years in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain within healthcare or pharmacy operations.
• Experience negotiating contracts, pricing, and terms with manufacturers/wholesalers.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical purchasing, inventory management, and supply chain operations.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and collaborating with operations, finance, compliance, legal, and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Actively manage pharmaceutical drug requirements to optimize cost of goods and savings targets.
• Negotiate with suppliers to secure supply and favorable terms.
• Communicate with Retail Operations on product changes, recalls, and launches.
• Administer store-level inventory management applications and provide best practice guidance.
• Oversee pharmacy recalls and DSCSA processes with QA/Compliance teams.
• Support 340B program execution including EDI data flows.
• Manage vendor relationships and contract terms for drug assortment and inventory turns.
• Coordinate with warehouse and procurement teams to support distribution operations.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and document retention for recalls and reporting.
• Lead and mentor associates as needed.
