Job summary
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina is seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst - Pharmacy Medical Economics to shape and support our pharmacy strategy. You will collaborate across teams to turn data into actionable insights and contribute to actuarial functions that drive informed decisions and performance.
The role requires 4+ years of actuarial experience, progress toward ASA certification, and strong SQL and communication skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required).
- 4+ years of actuarial experience; related experience may be considered.
- Completed 5 or more exams toward the ASA designation or ASA progress.
Responsibilities
- Supports pharmacy trend and hot spot analysis.
- Evaluates moderately complex trend analysis.
- Monitors and forecasts pharmacy profitability.
- Provides actuarial support for corporate pharmacy initiatives.
- Performs pricing research projects, including experience and trend analyses, book of business studies, vendor analyses, etc.
- Monitors industry news and ensures the company is competitively positioned.
- Reviews advanced data analytic methods and identifies process improvements.
- Participates in requirements gathering for corporate projects and generates ideas.
