Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina is seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst - Pharmacy Medical Economics to apply actuarial and analytical skills to pharmacy strategy. You will collaborate across teams, turn data into actionable insights, and support diverse actuarial functions that drive informed business decisions and improved performance.

You will contribute to trend analyses, profitability forecasting, pricing research, and corporate projects while staying current with industry trends

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required).
• Must have completed 5 or more exams towards the eventual attainment of the ASA designation.
• In lieu of meeting minimum exam requirements, may consider additional relevant experience.
• In lieu of meeting minimum experience requirement, may consider ASA or more exams towards the eventual attainment of ASA.

Responsabilidades

• Supports pharmacy trend and hot spot analysis.
• Evaluates moderately complex trend analysis.
• Monitors and forecasts pharmacy profitability.
• Provides actuarial support for corporate pharmacy initiatives.
• Performs pricing research projects, including experience and trend analyses, book of business studies, vendor analyses, etc.
• Monitors industry news and ensures the company is competitively well-positioned in a dynamic marketplace.
• Proactively reviews advanced data analytic methods and identifies opportunities to improve team processes.
• Participates in requirements gathering for and serves as delegate or backup for corporate projects. Generates ideas and analytical approaches for Departmental projects.
• Plans, implements, manages and/or contributes to projects that are moderate/high complexity.
• Is a participant in good standing in the Actuarial Development Program.
