Blue Cross NC is seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst - Pharmacy Medical Economics to shape pharmacy strategy and support analytics across teams. You will turn data into insights, forecast profitability, and support pricing and corporate initiatives.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years actuarial experience and progress toward ASA, with SQL skills and strong communication. Hybrid work with some in-office collaboration is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree required.
• 4+ years of relevant actuarial experience.
• Completed 5+ exams towards the eventual attainment of the ASA designation.
• In lieu of minimum exam requirements, additional relevant experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Support pharmacy trend and hotspot analysis.
• Evaluate moderately complex trend analysis.
• Monitor and forecast pharmacy profitability.
• Provide actuarial support for corporate pharmacy initiatives.
• Perform pricing research projects, including experience and trend analyses, book of business studies, vendor analyses, etc.
• Monitor industry news to ensure the company is competitively well-positioned in a dynamic marketplace.
• Proactively review advanced data analytic methods and identify opportunities to improve team processes.
• Participates in requirements gathering for and serves as delegate or backup for corporate projects. Generates ideas and analytical approaches for Departmental projects.
• Plans, implements, manages and/or contributes to projects that are moderate/high complexity.
• Is a participant in good standing in the Actuarial Development Program.
