Job summary
Blue Cross NC is seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst in Pharmacy Medical Economics to shape and support our pharmacy strategy. You will collaborate across teams, turn data into actionable insights, and contribute to various actuarial functions that drive informed business decisions and improved performance.
You will evaluate trend analyses, monitor profitability, and lead pricing research while applying advanced analytics.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of actuarial experience in pharmacy/healthcare analytics.
- Completed 5 or more actuarial exams toward ASA or ASA-equivalent.
- Strong communication and storytelling abilities.
Responsibilities
- Support pharmacy trend and hot spot analyses.
- Evaluate moderately complex trend analyses and forecast profitability.
- Provide actuarial support for corporate pharmacy initiatives.
- Conduct pricing research including experience and trend analyses.
- Review industry trends to keep the company competitively positioned.
- Develop and apply advanced data analytic methods to improve processes.
- Participate in requirements gathering and lead/backup for projects.
- Contribute to moderate/high complexity projects and development programs.
