Job summary

Northern Trust in Bloomfield Hills is seeking a Sr. Personal Banker to deliver exceptional client service while servicing accounts, opening and maintaining client relationships, and handling money movements.

You will work with cross-functional teams and use online tools to provide holistic advice and timely responses to inquiries. The role emphasizes adherence to banking guidelines, risk management, and opportunities to mentor other bankers and improve processes within Wealth Management.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of banking operations, products and services.
• Knowledge of federal regulations and banking guidelines.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to think critically and to work well independently and as part of a team. Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute client account servicing activities within appropriate time frames, including wires, fund transfers, account maintenance and research of client issues.
• Proactively communicates with relationship management and NCSS teams to obtain necessary information to properly execute requests.
• Mentor fellow Personal Bankers and help evolve processes and procedures within Wealth Management.
• Maintain complete and accurate recordkeeping and ensure compliance with banking guidelines and policies.
• Assist with maintenance of Safe Deposit Boxes where available.
