Hanwha Qcells USA Corp, headquartered in Houston, TX, seeks a Permitting Specialist to lead permitting efforts for EPC utility-scale PV and BESS projects. Hybrid work arrangement, based in Houston, with up to 4 days in office and travel up to 20%.

You will identify applicable permits, coordinate with owners, engineers, environmental teams, and consultants, ensure compliance with regulations, and manage permitting timelines and costs to support timely project delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of permitting management for large-scale renewable energy projects, preferably in solar.
• Strong understanding of local, state, and federal permitting regulations and processes.
• Proven track record of obtaining permits for complex projects within tight timelines.
• Ability to manage and lead large technical organizations, including consultants.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsabilités

• Lead permitting efforts on multiple preconstruction projects through the life cycle.
• Develop project-specific permitting matrices identifying all required permits.
• Coordinate with Owner, engineers, environmental team, and consultants.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and permit conditions.
• Prepare and submit permit applications and environmental assessments.
• Communicate permitting status, risks, and costs to project teams.
