Qualifications

• 5+ years in backend engineering, building and operating user-facing apps.
• Proficient in Golang, GraphQL, and PostgreSQL, with optimization experience.
• Experience with AWS and cloud-based data modeling and scaling.
• Strong knowledge of API design, concurrency, and system design.
• Proven track record of ownership and driving architectural improvements.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and prioritize architectural problems across distributed backend systems.
• Design and implement solutions for performance optimization and data modeling.
• Raise engineering quality with guardrails, standards, and practices.
• Collaborate with product and engineering to align on customer needs and tradeoffs.
• Mentor engineers and help shape a high-performing team.
