Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Senior Performance Engineer to lead performance testing across large-scale healthcare tech programs. This remote role defines testing strategies, builds frameworks, models workloads, and evaluates scalability, reliability, and capacity.

You will work with DevOps, Cloud Engineering, and Product teams to identify bottlenecks and drive improvements. The role emphasizes creating performance standards, integrating validation into CI/CD pipelines, and mentoring other engineers

Qualifications

• 5+ years in performance testing and engineering.
• Experience leading performance testing activities and teams.
• Strong experience with REST/GraphQL/SOAP and cloud-native testing.
• Proficiency deploying JMeter in Kubernetes on AWS.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and observability tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead performance testing planning, workload modeling, and analysis.
• Set NFRs and SLAs with stakeholders and validate targets.
• Design and execute load, stress, and capacity tests.
• Develop and maintain performance testing frameworks and CI/CD integrations.
• Mentor engineers and promote best practices in performance engineering.
