Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Senior Performance Engineer to lead performance testing across large-scale healthcare technology programs in a remote United States setting. You will define test strategies, build workloads, analyze metrics, and collaborate with Dev, Architecture, Cloud, and Product teams to ensure scalability and reliability.

This role emphasizes mentorship, CI/CD integration, and adopting AI-enabled testing where appropriate.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of performance testing and engineering for large-scale web, mobile, and digital apps.
• Experience with REST/GraphQL/SOAP API performance.
• Proficient in JMeter or similar tools in cloud/container environments.
• Strong CI/CD integration and shift-left performance practices.
• Experience mentoring engineers and leading junior teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead performance testing across large-scale healthcare tech programs.
• Design load, stress, spike, endurance, and capacity testing scenarios.
• Develop and maintain performance testing frameworks and automation.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Architecture, Product, and Cloud teams.
• Present findings and remediation recommendations to stakeholders.
