Strive Robotics is seeking a senior perception engineer to architect and implement perception systems enabling robots to understand manufacturing environments. You will own the perception stack from design through deployment, with an initial focus on accurate object localization for loading and assembly.
You will develop calibration, tracking, and sensor fusion across RGB, stereo, and depth cameras, incorporating force and tactile feedback to ensure reliability in real-world conditions.
We are looking for a senior perception engineer to build the systems through which robots understand and interact with manufacturing environments. You will own perception architecture and implementation, with an initial focus on accurate object localization for loading and assembly.
Build object detection, 6D pose estimation, and scene understanding systems that support reliable manipulation at customer pilot sites.
Develop calibration, tracking, and sensor fusion across RGB, stereo, and depth cameras, incorporating force and tactile feedback.
Strong fundamentals in geometric computer vision, experience training or adapting deep learning models, and proficiency in Python and C++.
Experience deploying perception on physical robots, including diagnosing failures and improving accuracy and reliability under real operating conditions.
Perception engineers with evidence of working robotic systems and the ability to own technical problems from architecture through deployment. We value demonstrated ability, and prior startup experience is a plus.Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer vision, or a closely related field with 10+ years of relevant experience, or a PhD with 3+ years. At least 3 years of experience deploying and supporting perception systems on physical robots.
Strive Robotics is an AI systems integrator for manufacturing. We build robots and software that let customers deploy and reconfigure robotic workflows without outside integrators or robotics experience. Our approach combines classical controls, model-based perception, and fine-tuned vision-language-action models, choosing the tools that get reliable robotic solutions into customers’ hands as quickly as possible.
