Intelletec is seeking a Senior Robotics Perception Engineer in San Francisco, CA to own perception, sensor fusion, localization, and data systems powering the product.

This high-ownership role works directly with the founding team to deploy perception systems in real-world environments, collaborating with robotics, software, and hardware engineers. A background in 2D/3D LiDAR, C++/Python, and hands-on hardware is highly valued.

Qualifications

• 4+ years building robotics or vehicle perception systems.
• Strong experience with 2D/3D LiDAR and sensor fusion.
• Experience developing and deploying perception models.
• Strong C++ and/or Python skills.
• Experience working within complex robotic software architectures.
• Comfortable working hands on with hardware and field deployed systems.
• Strong ownership and ability to independently drive technical projects.

We’re partnering with an early stage robotics company building autonomous systems for real world deployment.

This is a high ownership perception role working directly with the founding team to build and deploy the perception, sensor fusion, localization, and data systems powering the product.

What You’ll Do

• Build and improve perception models for object detection and scene understanding
• Develop sensor fusion pipelines across 2D/3D LiDAR and other sensors
• Build data collection and evaluation pipelines for rapid model iteration
• Optimize perception software within a complex robotics stack
• Identify performance bottlenecks and drive technical improvements
• Deploy and debug perception systems in real world environments
• Work closely with robotics, software, and hardware engineers

What We’re Looking For

• 4+ years building robotics or vehicle perception systems
