Job summary

Mission North is seeking a strategic, systems-minded leader to own the People technology & operations function. You’ll shape the HRIS/ATS ecosystem, drive automation, and deploy AI-powered solutions to elevate employee experience and operational efficiency.

You’ll partner with agency leaders across HR, IT and Finance to design scalable processes, develop people analytics, and improve workforce planning. The role blends strategic partnership with hands-on system administration.

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years of progressive experience across HR Business Partnership, People Operations, HR Technology, or related People functions.
• Experience leading or administering HR technology platforms such as an HRIS, ATS, performance management, engagement, compensation, or learning systems.
• Strong analytical skills with experience building reports and dashboards using People data.
• Excellent project management skills with ability to balance multiple priorities.
• Experience partnering with IT, Finance, Legal and business leaders on cross-functional initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Own the People technology roadmap, including HRIS, ATS, performance management, compensation, engagement, learning, and future AI platforms.
• Evaluate, implement, and optimize AI-powered HR solutions to improve productivity and engagement.
• Serve as primary administrator for People systems with data quality, security, governance, and scalability.
• Lead automation and process improvements across the employee lifecycle.
• Develop executive dashboards and People analytics for hiring, retention, engagement, and workforce health.
• Partner with IT on system integrations, identity management, security and compliance.
• Manage HR technology vendors, implementations, contracts, renewals, and optimizations.
• Own People policies, SOPs, knowledge management, and operational best practices.
• Ensure compliance with employment regulations while creating scalable processes.
• Support payroll and benefits operations as needed.
