Job summary

Harvey is seeking a People Business Partner to support Product and Design in San Francisco, with potential to extend to other tech orgs. You’ll partner with leaders to build high-ownership teams, navigate growth, and align org design with fast-changing priorities.

You’ll coach, drive performance, and manage sensitive people issues while keeping a practical, no-drama approach. This role requires SF presence and 6–10+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• 6–10+ years in a People Business Partner role, ideally with Product/Design/Engineering teams.
• Proven track record partnering with technical leaders and growing orgs.
• Strong judgment; able to decide in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
• Ability to influence senior leaders with thoughtful, direct feedback.
• Experience with org design, performance mgmt, and scaling in high-growth settings.
• High emotional intelligence and clear, effective communication.
• Limited drama; pragmatic, business-focused approach.
• Willingness to work from our San Francisco office at least three days a week.

Responsibilities

• Partner deeply with Product and Design leaders to build and scale high-ownership teams.
• Coach leaders and raise the bar on leadership across the org.
• Drive performance, feedback, and development for managers and teams.
• Navigate complex people situations with sound judgment and empathy.
• Stay close to work, understanding how Product, Design, and Engineering operate.
• Guide leaders through shifting priorities and evolving org structures.
• Collaborate with Head of PBPs to implement practices for high-performing tech teams.
