Stealth Battery Startup in San Jose, CA is seeking its first Senior People Business Partner to build the people infrastructure as we scale. This high‑impact role combines strategy with hands‑on execution to advise leaders, coach managers, and drive company‑wide People initiatives.

You’ll partner with Talent, People Operations, and Finance to design programs, manage workforce planning, performance processes, and employee relations with thoughtful judgment and care. Hybrid work 3 days on-site.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive experience in People, HR business partnering, or related generalist roles.
• Experience in a high-growth startup or similarly fast-changing environment.
• Working knowledge of California employment law and employee relations.
• Proven ability to independently lead strategic People initiatives from concept to execution.
• Strong coaching for new and first-time managers.
• Broad HR knowledge across performance, employee relations, organizational design, talent planning, and core employment practices.

Responsabilités

• Build trusted relationships with leaders and managers, understanding teams and challenges.
• Translate company priorities into practical talent, organizational, and People plans.
• Advise leaders on workforce planning, organizational design, team effectiveness, role clarity, and change management.
• Use feedback and data to identify trends and actions.
• Serve as a hands-on coach to managers, especially new ones, building leadership habits.
• Design and deliver practical manager resources, workshops, and development experiences.
• Own high-impact, company-wide People initiatives from definition through iteration.
• Collaborate with People Operations, Recruiting, Finance, Legal, and other teams for a coordinated employee experience.
