Muon Space, Inc. is seeking a founding Senior People Business Partner to design and run people programs across our growing organization.

You will work with department leaders as a trusted advisor, architecting strategic HR initiatives and delivering end-to-end programs in a hybrid on-site role in San Jose, CA three days per week, with possible West Coast remote for exceptional candidates. You will partner with executives on manager development, performance management, and policy documentation,

Qualifications

• 6–10+ years of progressive HRBP or People Operations experience in fast-paced environments with full-stack ownership (strategic design and tactical implementation).
• Manager enablement through designing, facilitating, and driving manager development initiatives and coaching leadership cohorts.
• Autonomy & Drive: translate broad business goals into actionable roadmaps and execute independently with minimal direction.
• Warmth & Interpersonal Skills: exceptional verbal and written communication with warmth, approachability, and service mindset.
• Problem Solving & Discretion: navigate ambiguous employee relations matters with confidentiality and integrity.
• Systems and Documentation: experience with modern HR systems (Rippling, Lattice) and clear documentation (Google Workspace, Confluence).

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement critical People Ops initiatives from design to launch.
• Partner with directors and managers to build manager capability and develop leadership programs.
• Diagnose and resolve culture vulnerabilities and complex personnel challenges with discretion.
• Serve as a visible anchor for Muon’s values and foster a growth-oriented workplace culture.
