Valon is seeking a senior, systems-minded People Operations Lead to own onboarding, offboarding, and lifecycle operations. You’ll lead HRIS, payroll, and benefits programs, while building scalable processes with automation and AI.

This role collaborates across Finance, Legal, IT, and Recruiting to create a high-impact employee experience in a fast-growing environment. You’ll guide a cross-functional People Ops team, drive a multi-state payroll program, ensure HRIS data integrity, and maintain

Qualifikationen

• 7+ years of experience in People Operations or HR Operations.
• Experience owning broad People Ops responsibilities in a scaling org.
• Hands-on experience administering and optimizing Rippling.
• Benefits administration, renewals, enrollment, vendors, and employee support.
• Coordinating immigration/work authorization with outside counsel or providers.
• End-to-end multi-state payroll, including taxes, registrations, and accounts.
• HRIS data integrity, compliance, documentation, and lifecycle operations.
• Automation in People workflows.
• Coaching or developing People Ops teammates.
• Cross-functional judgment and communication skills.
• Discretion and handling of sensitive employee information.
• Hands-on operating style: improving systems while working.

Aufgaben

• Own onboarding from signed offer through a smooth new-hire experience.
• Manage offboarding, transfers, leaves of absence, employment changes, contractor processes, and lifecycle events.
• Ensure employee data, documentation, and handoffs are accurate and timely.
• Build clear, consistent processes for employees, managers, and partners.
• Own Rippling as source of truth for employee data and People Ops workflows.
• Maintain HRIS data integrity, permissions, documentation, and reporting.
• Own end-to-end multi-state payroll including taxes and registrations.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows, integrations, and self-service.
• Maintain audit-ready records.
• Day-to-day benefits administration and vendor coordination.
• Coordinate leave-related processes and guidance.
• Partner with Total Rewards and external providers to improve experience.
• Manage workers' compensation coverage, renewals, audits, and claims coordination.
• Coordinate immigration/work authorization with outside counsel.
• Track cases, deadlines, documentation, and communications.
• Escalate legal questions to Legal or outside counsel.
• Set vision and priorities for People Ops; build a roadmap with owners and milestones.
• Coach and develop People Ops teammates; regular feedback and training.
• Create playbooks, standards, and quality controls for consistent work.
• Balance roadmap execution with day-to-day operations; ensure coverage.
• Stay close to work to handle complex issues.
• Identify repetitive workflows and redesign them; build automations with no-code/low-code and AI.
• Improve Rippling integrations with Recruiting, IT, Finance, and the People team.
• Measure impact of improvements on manual work and accuracy.
