Job summary

Valon is seeking a senior, systems-minded People Operations Lead to own employee lifecycle operations, HRIS, payroll, and benefits. This hands-on role involves coaching the team, implementing automation, and partnering with IT, Legal, and Finance to scale our People Ops function.

You will manage onboarding through offboarding, ensure data integrity, and coordinate immigration while maintaining confidential handling of sensitive information. NYC-based, full-time.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in People Operations or HR Operations.
• Hands-on experience with Rippling and multi-state payroll.
• Ability to build automation and scalable processes.

Responsibilities

• Own onboarding from offer to new-hire experience and manage offboarding and lifecycle events.
• Administer HRIS data, payroll, benefits, and compliance across states.
• Lead immigration/work authorization coordination and confidentiality.
• Coach teammates, build playbooks, and drive automation initiatives.
