Physical Intelligence is hiring for a People Operations role in California. You will design onboarding workflows, own payroll in Rippling, and manage benefits communications to support a growing workforce.

You will ensure data integrity in the HRIS, maintain compliance with CA and SF requirements, and partner with HR leadership to optimize processes as the team scales from 300 to 500+ employees.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of HR operations experience in California, including high-volume hourly and exempt populations.
• Fluency with Rippling: capable of architecting and troubleshooting processes.
• Strong knowledge of California wage and hour law (overtime, breaks, final pay).
• Experience administering group health benefits and open enrollment processes.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ownership of processes.
• Desire to build scalable HR ops in a high-growth environment.

Responsabilités

• Oversee onboarding workflows tailored to roles and journeys; automate training materials.
• Own end-to-end payroll processes for hourly and exempt staff in Rippling, including audits and corrections.
• Administer benefits open enrollment, life events processing and benefit communications.
• Maintain Rippling as the system of record; manage data integrity and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with Federal, California, and San Francisco requirements; handle leave and reporting.
• Partner with HRBP on employee relations, and document standard HR letters and policies.
