Job summary

Rivian is seeking a passionate and data-driven Senior Analytics Engineer to join our People Systems Team. Build robust data pipelines, create intuitive dashboards, and ensure data quality and accessibility to inform strategic decisions.

You will translate business needs into scalable data solutions, collaborate with data engineers and analysts, and promote best practices in modeling, governance, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., CS, Engineering, Statistics)
• 5+ years in data engineering/analytics engineering roles
• Advanced SQL proficiency and optimization
• Python for data extraction, transformation, loading, and automation
• Data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling (star/snowflake)
• Experience with collaborative software development (Git/GitHub/GitLab), testing, CI/CD
• Strong problem-solving, system design, and cross-functional collaboration
• Excellent communication and collaboration with non-technical stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust data models in the data warehouse
• Build, optimize, and manage ETL/ELT pipelines
• Enforce data quality standards and monitor data pipelines
• Improve performance of data models and queries
• Evaluate and implement modern data tooling and infrastructure
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders
• Create documentation and promote best practices in data engineering
