Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in a relevant field.
• 1 year of experience in a leadership role.
• 5 years of experience in payroll or accounting.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, assigns, directs and verifies the work of assigned personnel.
• Ensures timely preparation and filing of federal, state and local tax returns and processing of payroll tax payments.
• Provides payroll tax expertise and support to resolve client payroll tax concerns.
• Establishes and maintains positive relationships with clients, CPAs and Paychex departments.
• Recruits, selects, hires and evaluates performance of personnel.
• Maintains knowledge of changes in payroll tax laws and tax agency requirements.
• Plans and coordinates quarter-end and year-end processes.
• Develops and maintains relationships with tax agencies.
