Job summary

AMI Housing, Inc. is seeking a Peer Support Specialist II for the Full Service Partnership program in Auburn, CA. The role focuses on recovery-oriented, person-centered support for individuals with serious mental health challenges and complex barriers to stability.

You will build trust, advocate for participants, collaborate with clinicians, and help connect clients to housing, healthcare, and community resources while maintaining strict confidentiality and documentation standards.

Qualifications

• Requires lived experience recovering from mental illness and/or substance use disorder or as caregiver.
• Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Certificate preferred; certificate funding available.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an active caseload within the Full Service Partnership program.
• Build trusting relationships and model recovery principles.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to support coordinated care.
• Provide outreach in community settings such as homes, shelters, and hospitals.
• Assist participants in accessing housing resources, benefits, and healthcare.
• Document services accurately in required records and keep information confidential.
• Offer transportation support and accompany participants to appointments when needed.
