AMI Housing, Inc. in Auburn, CA is seeking a Peer Support Specialist II for Clinic Services to provide recovery-oriented, client-centered support within behavioral health services.

This role leverages lived experience to help clients navigate care and access resources, while collaborating with clinicians to promote long-term wellness. The ideal candidate has lived experience with mental illness or substance use disorder, is enthusiastic, and can work across teams.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Certificate preferred; AMIH may fund it.
• Lived experience with mental illness and/or substance use disorder or as a caregiver.
• Strong computer skills and ability to use electronic records systems.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain an active caseload of FSP participants requiring intensive, community-based support.
• Build trusting relationships by modeling recovery principles.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to support coordinated care.
• Provide outreach in community settings (homes, shelters, hospitals).
• Assist participants with housing resources, benefits, and healthcare access.
• Help participants develop individualized recovery and wellness plans.
• Provide transportation and accompany clients to appointments.
• Identify relapse signs and develop stability strategies.
• Facilitate peer support groups and wellness activities.
• Document services with accuracy and confidentiality.
