AMI Housing, Inc. invites applications for a Peer Support Specialist II (Casa Dewitt) in Auburn, CA. The role supports individuals in transitional housing programs, leveraging lived experience to foster recovery, housing stability, and community integration.

The position requires a high school diploma, valid driver’s license, and strong computer skills. Experience with Medi-Cal certification is a plus. Compensation is hourly, with a differential for Medi-Cal certificate holders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation is required.
• Lived experience recovering from a mental illness and/or substance use disorder OR lived experience as a primary caretaker for someone with a mental illness and/or substance use disorder is valued.
• Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Certificate is preferred and AMIH can fund the certificate.

Responsabilités

• Advocate for client needs within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Remain up to date on community resources and link clients to appropriate resources.
• Document client progress utilizing an electronic health record system.
• Evoke hope, recovery, and wellness.
• Provide transportation in a personal vehicle when needed and reimbursable by AMIH.
• Share lived experience when appropriate while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Report to multiple supervisors and manage position on multiple teams.
• Manage workplace stress and remain calm during client crises.
