Job summary

Children's Health is hiring a Speech Language Pathologist II for the Acute Care Therapy Services at Children’s Medical Center Dallas. This on-site, full-time role supports direct patient care with a senior clinician overseeing treatment planning and collaboration within an interdisciplinary team.

Requirements include Texas licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist, CCC-SLP, a four-year degree or higher, and at least three years of experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Speech Language Pathology experience required.
• Licensed to practice Speech Language Pathology in Texas; CCC-SLP required.
• CPR/BLS for Healthcare Providers as required by CP 1.20 Life Support Course Requirements

Responsibilities

• Provide direct Speech Language Pathology services to patients per standards of practice; select valid assessment tools and document progress.
• Serve as a preceptor/mentor for new staff therapists and students; train in assessment tools and treatment techniques.
• Contribute to policies/procedures in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation; participate in quality improvement activities.
• Meet physical and non-physical demands of the role; take on additional duties as needed.
