Job summary

Duke Health in Durham, NC is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Children’s Procedural Sedation Unit (CPSU). This on-site role supports pediatric sedation services across teams and requires strong nursing leadership.

You will plan, provide and document nursing care, coordinate sedation for procedures, and supervise staff as assigned. Relocation assistance is available and Duke's Total Rewards program supports professional growth.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in North Carolina or compact state.
• Current BLS certification required.
• PALS preferred.
• 2 years nursing experience preferred.
• Moderate/general sedation experience with pediatric patients preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, provide, supervise and document professional nursing care.
• Coordinate CPSU sedation services for pediatric patients.
• Lead and support nursing staff as team leader or charge nurse as assigned.
• Monitor environment of care and equipment/resources.
• Participate in professional development, competency maintenance and staff education/preceptorship.
• Schedule procedures requiring CPSU services and sedation.
• Communicate with patients, families, CPSU staff and multidisciplinary teams.
