Job summary
Duke University Health System is seeking an experienced registered nurse for the General Pediatrics Unit in Durham, NC. The role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to a diverse pediatric population on an 8-bed unit expected to expand to 16 beds in 2027.
You will work 3, 12-hour shifts (7 a.m.–7 p.m., day/night rotation), with relocation assistance up to $8,000 and a comprehensive Total Rewards program. Must have 1 full year of nursing experience and NC RN licensure.
Qualifications
- Prefer nurses with 1 year of pediatric experience or 1 year of adult Med/Surg experience.
- Must have 1 full year of nursing experience.
- Graduation from an accredited BSN, ADN, or Nursing Diploma program.
- Current NC RN license or compact license to practice in NC.
- BLS Certification required.
Responsibilities
- Plan and provide professional nursing care following medical and nursing plans.
- Delegate tasks and supervise licensed and unlicensed staff.
- Assist other nursing personnel as team leader or charge nurse.
- Monitor and maintain the environment of care and equipment.
- Participate in professional development and performance improvement activities.
- Perform other related duties incidental to the work.
