Job summary

ASML US, LLC is seeking a Senior Electronics Design Engineer - PCBA Design in California to design, validate, and qualify complex Printed Circuit Board Assemblies for electronic control systems used in advanced lithography platforms.

Responsibilities include defining board-level architectures, selecting components, and guiding layout and verification to ensure robust performance in demanding semiconductor environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 10 years of industry experience in electronic hardware development.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience designing complex active PCBAs for demanding applications.
• Demonstrated experience with FPGA, processor, memory, and high-speed interfaces.
• Experience with board-level architecture definition, schematic capture, and design verification.
• Experience with SPICE-based simulation tools (LTspice) for analog/mixed-signal and power-electronics circuits.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop complex active PCBAs for electronic control systems.
• Define board-level architectures for FPGA, processor, memory, and sensor-interface functions.
• Develop schematics using ASML-approved tools and methodologies.
• Select and qualify components to meet reliability and EMC requirements.
• Translate system requirements into board-level requirements and definitions.
• Support PCB layout reviews and high-speed implementation decisions.
• Perform board bring-up, debugging, and root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams through design and qualification phases.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote robust PCBA design practices.
