Job summary

ASML seeks a Senior Electronics Design Engineer – PCBA Design to craft complex active PCBs for control systems used in advanced lithography equipment.

You will define board architectures, develop schematics, select components, and guide layout with an emphasis on reliability in harsh semiconductor environments. Collaboration with system architects, FPGA teams, and suppliers is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of hardware development experience is expected.
• 7+ years designing active PCBAs for demanding applications.

Responsibilities

• Design complex active PCBAs for electronic control systems.
• Define board-level architectures for FPGA, processor, memory, and interfaces.
• Develop and maintain schematics using approved tools.
• Select and qualify components for functionality, reliability, EMC, and manufacturability.
• Translate system requirements into board-level requirements and plans.
• Define electrical constraints for signal integrity, power integrity, EMC, grounding, and thermal performance.
• Support PCB layout reviews and high-speed implementation decisions.
• Perform board bring-up, debugging, and root-cause analysis.
• Contribute to hardware roadmaps and next-gen platform development.
• Mentor junior engineers on robust PCBA design practices.
