Job summary

ASML is seeking a Senior Electronics Design Engineer – PCBA Design in San Diego to lead the development of complex active PCBs for high‑reliability control systems. You will define architectures, develop schematics, select components, and guide layout and verification in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.

Role requires a strong background in FPGA/processor interfaces, high‑speed signaling, SPICE simulations, and DFMEA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in electronic hardware development.
• 7+ years designing complex active PCBAs for demanding applications.
• Experience with FPGA/processor/memory interfaces and high-speed protocols.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop complex active PCBAs for control systems.
• Define board-level architectures for FPGA and processor interfaces.
• Develop schematics and select components to meet reliability requirements.
• Translate requirements to board-level specs and interfaces.
• Support layout reviews and high-speed implementation decisions.
• Perform board bring-up, debugging, and root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams through release phases.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to hardware roadmaps.
