Job summary

Honeywell is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Test Engineer for our Northford, CT site. This on‑site role focuses on developing, validating, deploying, and sustaining production test equipment and software for PCBAs and electronic assemblies.

You will work across R&D, Operations, Quality, IT, and suppliers to deliver standardized test solutions, with a strong emphasis on coverage, reliability, data integrity, safety, and cost. Requires 5+ years in test engineering and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in test engineering for PCBAs or electronic assemblies.
• Experience integrating test software and hardware into production systems.
• Ability to read schematics and use lab tools for troubleshooting.
• Experience supporting NPI, testability reviews, and change control.
• Knowledge of measurement uncertainty and statistical analysis.
• Fluent English communication with global teams.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%, including international travel.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production test solutions for PCBAs and electronics.
• Translate requirements into production test strategies and diagnostics.
• Design fixtures, wiring, power supplies, and data acquisition for tests.
• Develop and release test software with configuration control.
• Support NPI builds, testability reviews, and production transfers.
• Provide on‑site production support and diagnose failures.
• Analyze yield, cycle time, downtime, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain calibration, maintenance, spare parts, and asset plans.
• Define specs, manage suppliers, and validate delivered systems.
• Collaborate with IT and MES for connectivity and data integrity.
• Train staff on safe operation and test development best practices.
• Lead improvements to increase coverage, uptime, and efficiency.
