Job summary

Honeywell Technologies is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer in Northford, CT to own and continuously improve electronic assembly processes, from NPI to mature production. You will drive automation, process validation, and data-driven improvements across multiple functions on-site.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, FPY, OEE, cost, and on-time delivery, with up to 25% travel across sites and international assignments as needed. Northford, CT on-site work is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in manufacturing engineering with electronic assembly/PCBA in production.
• Hands-on SMT, soldering, inspection, test, automation, and defect analysis.
• Knowledge of SPC, process capability, DOE, PFMEA and structured problem solving.
• Experience creating manufacturing docs for NPI, validation, qualification, and ECOs.
• Ability to work with global cross-functional teams and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve automated and manual electronic assembly processes (through-hole, SMT, soldering, conformal coating, inspection).
• Develop and maintain process specs, recipes, setup sheets, control plans, PFMEAs, work instructions, training materials.
• Lead NPI builds, product transfers, and process validation; manage tool readiness and production release.
• Use SPC/DOE and root-cause methods to improve FPY, OEE, throughput, changeover time, rework, and scrap.
• Troubleshoot process, material, design, programming, fixturing, soldering, test, automation issues; implement corrective actions.
• Create/optimize equipment programs, fixtures, test interfaces, inspection criteria, error-proofing.
