Job summary

Honeywell in Northford, CT seeks a Manufacturing Process Engineer – SMT/PCBA to own and improve end‑to‑end SMT processes. You will develop specifications, tooling, and validation plans, collaborating with R&D, Quality, and Supply Chain to deploy repeatable, data‑driven solutions globally.

You will report to the Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Manager, working 100% on-site at Northford, CT, with hands‑on ownership from NPI through mature production and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in SMT/PCBA environments.
Hands-on knowledge of solder paste printing, pick-and-place, reflow, SPI/AOI.
Strong background in SPC, DOE, capability analysis, and problem solving.
Experience developing manufacturing docs and supporting NPI/EC/validation.
Ability to work with global cross-functional teams and communicate in English.
Willingness to travel up to 25%, including international travel.

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end SMT processes from paste printing to AOI/AXI and depaneling.
Develop process specs, recipes, setup sheets, PFMEAs and work instructions.
Support NPI builds, tooling readiness, process validation and production release.
Use SPC/DOE and root-cause methods to improve FPY, OEE, throughput.
Troubleshoot process/material/design issues; implement corrective actions.
Create and optimize placement programs, stencils, reflow profiles, AOI/ SPI/AXI tests.
