Job summary

Honeywell Technologies is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer - SMT/PCBA to own and optimize SMT processes from NPI to production at the Northford, CT site. You will lead solder paste printing, placement, reflow, AOI, SPI, and tooling, ensuring safe, reliable production and data-driven improvements across global sites.

The role reports to the Sr Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Manager and requires 5+ years of SMT/PCBA experience, strong cross-functional collaboration, and on-site work

Qualifications

• 5+ years of SMT/PCBA manufacturing experience.
• Hands-on knowledge of solder paste printing and reflow profiling.
• Experience with SPC, DOE, Cp/Cpk, and GR&R.
• Ability to communicate technical information in English.
• Travel up to 25% including possible international travel.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve end-to-end SMT processes including paste printing, SPI, placement, reflow, AOI.
• Develop process specifications, equipment recipes, setup sheets, PFMEAs, and work instructions.
• Support NPI builds, process validation, and production release activities.
• Use data analysis and problem solving to improve FPY, OEE, and throughput.
• Train engineers and operators; ensure proper change control.
• Maintain traceability and MES data for real-time visibility.
