Job summary

Capella, based in Louisville, CO, seeks an enthusiastic electrical rework technician to join the manufacturing team. You will work with engineers to implement PCB rework and finishing steps on engineering and flight hardware, including component removal, wiring modifications, and cable work.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in PCB rework with hand soldering, reads blueprints and schematics, and holds IPC certifications.

Qualifications

Minimum 4 years hands-on PCB rework experience using hand soldering and de-soldering tools.
IPC-J-STD-001, IPC-A-620, and IPC-7711/7721 certifications required.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics and technical documentation.
Proficient with hand tools, power tools and precision measuring instruments.
U.S. person status required for ITAR/EAR-controlled work.

Responsibilities

Assemble and repair PCBs and wire harnesses per work instructions, schematics, and IPC standards.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, and specifications.
Assist with functional tests, calibrations, and troubleshooting on systems and subassemblies.
Conduct visual inspections using a 4x microscope.
Install and route wire harnesses.
Document work accurately in work instructions.
Identify and report nonconformances, and support corrective actions with Quality and Engineering.
Maintain a clean, organized workspace in compliance with 5S practices.
Follow all safety, environmental, and regulatory procedures.
Support continuous improvement and, where applicable, mentor junior technicians.
