Job summary

Vuzix Corporation in the United States is seeking a Senior Engineering Technician to rework and modify high-density, small-pitch PCBs, collaborating with PCB design and firmware teams to satisfy ISO 9001:2015 quality objectives.

You will assemble PCBs not sent for SMT, supervise the Electrical Lab, support on-site manufacturing and quality inspections, and help maintain lab readiness and calibration schedules for reliable production.

Qualifications

• 10 years’ experience in a similar position.
• Expert level with soldering and hot-air rework.
• Proficient with 0201 rework and assembling 0.35mm-pitch components.

Responsibilities

• Modify/Repair PCBs: perform modifications and rework for electrical engineering team.
• Assemble PCBs that are not sent for SMT; work with high-pitch components for hand assembly.
• Supervise Electrical Lab: maintain lab supplies, calibration schedules and cleanliness.
• Support on-site manufacturing: repair fixtures or provide cable assemblies with the manufacturing team.
• Support quality control activities such as incoming and outgoing inspections.
• Meet ISO 9001:2015 standards and training per Quality Objectives.
