SpaceX is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Process Engineer, PCB, to lead state-of-the-art processes for Starlink/StarMind PCBs at Bastrop. You will design and implement manufacturing technologies, automate processes, and drive DOE-led improvements from concept through factory ramp.

You will collaborate with senior leadership, manage projects, and tackle complex mechanical and chemical equipment challenges to scale production to high volumes. Willingness to travel and onsite work are required.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in engineering; 3+ years in fluids, mechanical or electromechanical design/analysis.
• Experience applying first-principles analysis to manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with PCB manufacturing processes (metal plating, chemical etching, CNC, lamination).

Responsabilidades

• Develop, implement, and maintain new and/or improved manufacturing processes, equipment, technologies, and facilities; e.g. laser/CNC drilling, lamination, etching, printing, automation cells, plating lines.
• Analyze production processes and machinery from a first principles, physics-based approach.
• Lead DOE to establish a stable, robust process; perform defect characterization and root cause analysis to improve yields.
• Develop project plans, budgets, and cost/benefit analyses for new processes or machines.
• Own and perform machine activation and testing with a small team of engineers and technicians.
• Solve technical issues from manufacturing (part quality, machine reliability, process instability).
