Job summary
Amazon is seeking a Sr. PCB Manufacturing Engineer to bring complex PCB designs to life, partnering with Design Engineering and suppliers to optimize manufacturability, yield, cycle time, and cost.
The role supports satellite hardware development, requiring deep technical problem-solving and system-level prioritization. The candidate will lead DFx strategies, drive manufacturing readiness at contract manufacturers, and push continuous improvement across production ramps, with travel up to 25%.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of PCB manufacturing engineering experience.
- Experience driving DFx, DFM, DFA for NPI and mass production.
- Knowledge of PCB fabrication processes (imaging, etching, lamination, drilling, copper plating, solder mask, ENIG/ENEPIG, tests).
- Ability to lead with contract manufacturers and cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Drive DFx feedback with Design Engineering to identify manufacturing challenges early.
- Own PCB manufacturing technical roadmap aligning with design requirements at CM.
- Develop manufacturing tech to improve quality, throughput, and cost.
- Resolve pre-production issues across Operations, Supply Chain, R&D, and Reliability.
