Job summary

Amphenol is seeking a Process (Mechanical) Engineer to design, implement, and optimize PCB manufacturing processes. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve process efficiency, maintain equipment, and ensure high‑quality PCBs by monitoring yield, cycle time, and defect rates.

Responsibilities include developing and improving PCB processes, reducing costs, leading continuous improvement initiatives, and acting as the process owner.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical) or related field.
• Excellent problem solving, communication and leadership skills.
• Proficient computer skills and knowledge.
• Highly motivated and committed to driving excellence.
• Working knowledge of PCB manufacturing.
• Certification in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or related methods.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and improve PCB processes.
• Optimize production workflows, reduce costs, and maintain high-quality standards.
• Serve as the primary owner of processes with knowledge of internal customers.
• Monitor process performance metrics and address issues proactively.
• Act as the point of contact for process decisions and changes.
• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and purchase PCB manufacturing equipment.
• Ensure calibration and preventive maintenance to extend equipment life.
• Ensure compliance with specifications by monitoring critical inputs/outputs.
• Identify and implement corrective actions for scrap/rework.
