Job summary

Amazon Leo is seeking a Sr. PCBA Manufacturing Engineer to lead a team of cutting-edge aerospace PCB manufacturing engineers in Bellevue, WA. You will partner with Design Engineering, Operations, and Test to optimize manufacturing of complex PCBA hardware for satellite systems, driving yield, cycle time, and cost improvements.

The role requires deep hands-on experience in PCB/PCBA processes, DFMEA/PFMEA, and collaboration with contract manufacturers, with travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

5+ years managing engineering teams across cross-functional groups.
10+ years in PCBA/PCB supply chain or manufacturing engineering.
Experience with DFM, DFA, DFT upstream with Design Engineering.
Knowledge of board assembly equipment and processes (SMT, AOI, reflow).

Responsibilities

Lead PCB/PCBA DFM feedback with Design Engineering and early escalation of manufacturing challenges.
Own the PCBA Manufacturing Qualification at the CM, including readiness, assignments and milestones.
Drive adoption of new manufacturing tech to improve quality, reliability, throughput, and cost.
Coordinate cross-functional efforts across Operations, Commercial, Test Engineering, and Reliability Engineering.
Oversee failure and defect investigations with root cause and corrective action.
Monitor program health during ramp and report risks to leadership.
