Vector Atomic is seeking a PCB design engineer to develop custom PCBs for precision sensor systems and collaborate with engineers on advanced quantum-related hardware. You will review requirements, define footprints, routing, and BOM, and work with fabricators to ensure manufacturability.

The role involves coordinating with test engineers on bring-up and validation, and is onsite at our Pleasanton, CA office, contributing to innovative R&D initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of professional PCB layout experience including PCBA fabrication and manufacturing support.
• Strong understanding of PCB layout fundamentals: component placement, routing, planes, and vias.
• Experience with lab environments and PCB design in a high-tech setting.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with design engineers and physicists to develop custom PCBs for precision sensor systems.
• Review design requirements and develop schematics, footprints, placement, and signal routing for multilayer PCBA.
