Job summary

Vector Atomic is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to design and lead PCB development for quantum instruments onsite in Pleasanton, CA. You will work with physicists and engineers across domains to translate system requirements into robust PCBA layouts and production-ready designs.

The role requires a Bachelor’s (or Master’s) in Electrical Engineering with extensive mixed-signal PCBA experience, proficiency in Altium Designer, and strong emphasis on manufacturability, DFx, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or related field with 6+ years experience; or Master’s with 3+ years.
• Experience in complex mixed-signal PCBA designs using advanced ECAD tools, preferably Altium.
• Lab experience and ability to work in a hardware lab; US export control compliance.

Responsibilities

• Own PCB process from concept to production for high-speed boards.
• Define layout standards, impedance, and via strategies.
• Coordinate with engineers to ensure manufacturability and testability.
• Lead PCBA design journey and ECOs in PLM system.
